The TIMARS Multimodal Trailer is engineered for both military road transport and launch and recovery operations. Designed for Bridge Erection Boats (BIB) and other mission-critical equipment, the trailer provides a versatile transport platform for operation on land and in water.
To support its dual function, the trailer features a retractable drawbar that can be raised or lowered as required. During launch operations, the drawbar can also be adjusted automatically to reduce forces transferred to the towing vehicle.
The design allows protruding cargo to be carried on the towing vehicle while the trailer is in use, providing additional flexibility for specialised transport configurations.
For launch and recovery operations, the trailer is fully submersible and designed for operation in water up to a depth of two metres.
Adaptive air suspension maintains a consistent ride height regardless of load and enables height adjustment and rear tilting, supporting controlled and efficient launch and recovery operations.
