The TIMARS Multimodal Semi-Trailer is designed for transporting heavy-duty loads, including bridge systems, 20 ft ISO containers, excavators, tracked vehicles and tracked graders.
The trailer is equipped with load-securing equipment for safe and efficient transport. For non-standard loads, calculations must be carried out prior to transport to ensure stability.
The hydraulically adjustable lower loading platform can be remotely width-adjusted using a handheld control, providing flexibility for varying load sizes.
Loading ramps facilitate vehicle loading and can be locked in a horizontal position when transporting bridges or other long loads.
Hydraulic power supplied by the towing vehicle controls axle adjustment, platform width and loading ramps. The axle load can also be hydraulically adjusted during sharp crest crossings, while the third axle is automatically lifted by the air suspension system for military bridge passage.
For added safety, the trailer is equipped with an electronically controlled braking system (EBS), including an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
