Bergen Transport- and Container Equipment, BTC, is a trusted partner in Norway and has contributed to promoting Timar’s product development to suit the demanding Nordic environment. The cooperation aims to promote mutual expansion in the Norwegian market, which includes ports and various sectors. Timars and BTC have had a close and successful collaboration since early 2004.
BTC was founded in 1983 and has evolved from primarily dealing with containers to now being a leading Norwegian provider of various logistics solutions. BTC still delivers parts and accessories for containers, but now has a greater focus on lifting equipment and gear for handling and securing internal and port transportation.
BTC has offices and a depot in Storebotn Næringspark in Askøy as well as a spare parts warehouse and depot in the port of Bergen. With its own workshop and a department of experts, BTC can not only rent and sell new equipment but also handle repairs, upgrades, periodic inspections, and certification.
BTC’s clients are primarily shipping companies, ports, oil bases, and large land-based industries in Norway. However, they also deliver to smaller businesses, sports clubs, associations, and individuals. Everyone is welcome!
